Call (out) US Senators

Written by Jack Hassard

Republicans, especially those elected to the United States Senate have shirked their responsibility to protect American citizens, and to speak out about the hate that has been espoused by the President.  I will be contacting the two senators in my state (Georgia): Senator David Perdue, and Senator Johnny Isakson

I’ll ask them why they have not made public statements about the mass killings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio.

Why have they been silent?

Do they agree with the FBI, that these two mass killings, and the mass killing in Gilroy, California last week, are domestic terrorism attacks?

Have you called Mitch to tell him to call you and other senators back to work?  Why not?

Hate and guns have created the environment for these mass murders.  Do you agree with this idea?  Why or why not?  Please don’t tell me that mental illness causes these white men to become killers.  Mentally ill people are extremely unlikely to commit a crime, let alone mass murder. And video games?  No.  Let’s talk about hate, and guns.

I’ll call and write.

It's time to contact your US Senators

49 of the 50 Republican Senators have refused to talk about the El Paso and Dayton mass killings.  They need to step up and refute the President’s racist taunts and out right lies about immigrants and people of color.  Ask your senators when they will speak out publicly about these mass killings.  Ask them why they haven’t spoken out.  What do they fear?

Children separated (again) from their parents. This time on the first day of school in Mississippi. A day of joy. Instead, Attack by ICE police arrested over 600 parents. Not a republican senator to the rescue. More on this.
