We’d Better Keep Our Eye on the Ball

When the redacted Mueller Report was released, it was clear in hundreds of former federal prosecutors that Donald Trump had committed obstruction of justice many times to prevent the Mueller investigation to continue unbridled. Many prosecutors said that Trump would be charged for crimes if were not President.

His attorney, who happens to be the AJ, has created a spin on the Mueller report, that even Mueller disparages. Mr. Barr, who made it clear over a year ago that the Mueller investigation shouldn’t be go forward. And at two news conferences, and his appearance before a Senate Committee has been accused of purposely misrepresenting the findings of the Mueller Report.

Barr’s insistence today pleading with the White House to claim Executive privilege over all redacted and underlying evidence of the Mueller Report. This action moves the country deeper into the quagmire of the “rule of law.” It clear that the AJ and President have not abided by the rule of law, and are acting like they have absolute power. There is little more to said other than Trump is acting and behaving as a dictator, and will do what he can to prevent the Congress to duly carry out its checks and balances responsibilities to prevent the White House from exerting too much power.

The House Judiciary Committee, headed by Rep. Jerry Nadler, is moving to hold AJ Barr in contempt for not providing an unredacted copy of the Mueller report to the committee. Today the Committee met and discussed the Executive Privilege claim, and voted 20 – 12 in favor of seeking the full unredacted Mueller Report and contempt charges on Mr. Barr.

Curve Balls

Trump, sitting in his office or on the side of his bed with his smart phone typing away on Twitter, is throwing curve balls at us to get and keep us off track, and our eyes not on the ball—the results and implications of the Mueller Report.

And what better way to change the headlines on the evening news and the continuous online media coverage—instigate a global issue that will affect us all—The China Trade War. Imposing a 25% import tax on Chinese goods means that Americans will pay an increase of about $750 per person per year for Chinese produced goods. And, even worse, those American companies, especially farmers, will be charged much higher prices for exported goods and services. Coupled with the administrations head in the sand attitude toward climate change and the horrendous floods in the upper mid-west, the American farmer has suffered. Yet, Trump continues to lie to them saying that the trade wars will be won and they will be producing and selling more than they can plant. Yes, he said this.

The Mueller Report, in its entirety must be made available to all of us. There has been no president since Richard Nixon who has acted with such scandalous behavior. He must be held accountable and we need to throw screw balls to keep him check.
