Protagonists in the Trump Files

Dr. Jennie Springer wrote in a recent Amazon review that there are two protagonists in the Trump Files, Donald J. Trump and Citizen Jack. Everyone knows who is Donald J. Trump. You may not know about Citizen Jack. In the foreword of the book, Dr. Charles R. Ault introduced us to Citizen Jack. He wrote:

He offers the reader a citizen’s perspective buffered by careful synthesis of scholarly analyses. Every chapter is accessible and engaging; his portrait of Trump, detailed and complete, nuanced and stark, drawn from his experiences as a geoscientist, global environmental educator, university professor, and Georgian. This is Citizen Jack’s book, a masterful demonstration of a personal view turned sociopolitical gold.

The Trump Files
Protagonists

In her review, Dr. Springer says this about the Trump Files:

Do not be misled by the title, thinking that because of all the news coverage on the Trump Presidency, that this is a story you already know. The Trump Files presents a wholly original take on the forty-fifth president by focusing on his denial of science, in an era where scientific discoveries and firsts are happening every day and the climate crisis is reaching a deathly crescendo.

The Trump Files has two protagonists: Donald J. Trump and Citizen Jack, a scientist from Georgia who forges his own beat. Through Citizen Jack, Professor Hassard draws on his years of experience as an educator and his deep understanding of the concerns of young scientists. These scientists continue to raise alarms about fires, hurricanes, disappearing coastlines and extreme weather, and aren’t content to sit by and present at seminars. They are activists who know they have only a short time to help to save the planet and thus, demand to be heard both online and through protesting and collective action. Even still, Trump continued to downplay and ignore teachers, educators and scientists, and to select only news sources that echoed his opinion that went against scientific fact.

The Trump Files is a wake-up call to stay informed and to pay attention to science, public health and human rights, and to make protecting our collective future on this planet a key part of our daily agenda. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to be a more informed citizen about climate challenges, even when those in power choose to deny the facts.

Review Section of The Trump Files on Amazon

The January 6th Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives subpoenoed Donald Trump. Whether decides to come before the American people is up to him. However, the Committee has concluded that it was Donald Trump that instigated and prolonged the horrendous attack on those defending the Capitol building and all those who were inside trying to carryout a solemn duty of reading electoral votes to choose the new president of the U.S.

DONALD J. TRUMP IS ONE OF THE MAIN CHARACTER IN THE TRUMP Files. I portrayed him as a seditious, untruthful, and dangerous president of the United States. However, it is the totality of Trump’s administration that impaired not only democracy and human rights, but also science and public health. Although he’s out of office, he and his allies continue to endanger the United States. The January 6th Committee has made this abundantly clear.

An Existential Threat

The Trump Files, by Jack Hassard, presents Donald Trump as an existential threat to not only the US but the entire world. It details his efforts to push an authoritarian state, his disrespect towards American allies, and detrimental impact on various areas like democracy, human rights, science, and public health. The author fears Trump’s potential return in 2024 and warns of the grave implications. However, the author upholds faith in the democratic process and underscores the power of voting in preventing a downside for the American society.

Given that the real Donald Trump has just been indicted by a grand jury in Miami, Florida, I thought it might be interesting to share with you how the cover of my book, The Trump Files, was created.

Not So Special Grand Jury’s Partial Final Report

Judge Robert C.I. McBurney, Superior Court of Fulton County, released a portion of Fulton County Special Purpose Grand Jury. I’ve been looking forward to this report for nearly a year.

The Special Purpose Grand Jury was empaneled on January 24, 2022, more than a year after former President Trump called the Georgia Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger. Trump made the Call to pressure the secretary to not only recount the election votes, but to find 11,700 votes.
