On Saturday, March 9th, Joe Biden and his predecessor visited Georgia a few days before the March 12 primary. In Georgia, the media appears to treat President Biden and his predecessor as equals in the 2024 presidential race. But they are not equals—not by a long shot. The media is replicating how they covered the 2020 presidential race.

This is a failure of the free press. They ought to discern the real difference between the Republican candidate and the Democratic candidate, who happens to be President of the United States.

The Republican candidate conspired as a racketeer to stay in office in 2020 by staging a coup on January 6th, 2021. He lost the election by 7 million votes and still to this day, claims the Big Lie that the other side stole the election from him. Millions of Americans believe this, also. This is the underlying context that the press forgets to mention. The predecessor spent four years sitting in the White House chipping away at the guard rails of democracy. Thankfully he was an under achieving autocrat.

Every time the media and the press who believe in the concept of a free press writes or talks about the candidates for the 2024 election, they need to set the record straight. Read on.

The Predecessor

The predecessor was in Rome, Georgia for a rally at the Forum River Center on March 9th. Rome is a city in Marjorie Taylor Green’s 14th Congressional district. It’s about 45 miles northwest of Atlanta, and takes in all of the northwest corner of the state extending to the Tennessee border. It’s a safe place for the predecessor.

Everyone will be eating out of the predecessor’s hands. You have to wonder why they want to hear from the predecessor who was convicted of rape and sexual assault, as well as committing financial and business fraud in New York State. He owes $550 million for these two cases

Perhaps they want to find out what he has to say about his four indictments and 91 felony charges leading to the trials of the predecessor. Or maybe they want to hear him rail about the Fulton County election interference case. I’m sure he will mention District Attorney Fani Willis. I believe this is a racially motivated plot to go after black female district attorney and a black male chief prosecutor. Green, the predecessor and a slew of Georgia sycophants be their for the typical predecessor rally, with loud illegally procured music, and at least two lies a minute.

A Red Venue

Visiting the 14th congressional district is the perfect venue for him. It’s a deep red congressional district, and always has been. Firstly he is joined another conspiracy theorist, bully, and incompetent member of the MAGA minority in the people’s House. She was kicked off committee assignments in her first term, has not written any legislation, except her fetish for impeaching leaders of the other side. She is also an unforgiving opportunist.

At President Biden’s “State of the Union” address, dressed for a ball game in a red MAGA hat, she politicized the death of Laken Riley, a young woman who was killed on the campus of the University of Georgia to try and interrupt the president’s speech. Her antics back fired on her enabling the President to call out the Republicans for their failure to endorse a bipartisan immigration bill. Biden knew she would act like the spoiled child she is and rail at him He pounced on it. Of course, it was the predecessor who ordered Republicans to disable the bill. MTG and the predecessor deserve each other.

Immigration Propaganda

The predecessor used the death of Ms. Riley to vilify immigrants. An undocumented immigrant was charged in the murder of Ms. Riley, and the corrupt predecessor handed out placards with the words “Say her name” printed on Ms. Riley’s face. Trump has disgraced and shamed immigrants by calling them vermin, rapists, and criminals, and saying that some of them are “monsters.” None of this is true.

The Republicans are using immigration to rile up their base. They call it the “immigration crisis.”

Diane Ravitch referenced Chris Tomlinson, an opinion writer for the Houston Chronicle. Tomlinson claims that both parties have failed to tell the truth on immigration.

Diane said the Tomlinson sets us free with the truth. Tomlinson said they are not coming to the U.S. from jails, prisons, or mental institutions.. They are not terrorists. They do not speak unknown languages. And they are not criminals. Instead Tomlinson said migrants, documented or not, are critical for our workforce and society. Both contribute to the U.S. economy. More than they take. One fact that stood out for me was that 25% of the Houston population is immigrants, but they form 31% of the workforce. They earned billions of dollars, and payed billions in federal taxes.

President Biden

Joe Biden was guest of thousands of Georgians at Pullman Yards, a historic property located on the edges of Kirkwood and Edgewood in Atlanta. It’s been home to history, innovation, film projects and now hosted a Joe Biden rally.

The Pullman company was also one of the largest employers of African American men during segregation: The Pullman Porters. These men formed the nation’s first African American labor union affiliated with the American Federation of Labor: Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters and Maids. Founded by civil rights activist A. Phillip Randolph, the union aimed to improve the working conditions and treatment of African American railroad porters and maids employed by the Pullman Company across the country.

Biden addressed enthusiastic supporters, and unlike his predecessor, he promoted democracy by insisting he will defend it. He a talked about themes he raised in his State of the Union address, calling for reinstating Roe v Wade as the law of the land on abortion, increasing taxes on billionaires and a call for civic values. Unlike his predecessor, Biden does not have any indictments or felony charges to worry about.
