For various reasons, Donald Trump created the second blue wave because of his failed response to the COVID-19 pandemic. His failure to act decisively, and use the science that was available to him and his administration created a fracture amongst the American people. But all of this cost him the election. He claimed years ago that the election was going to rigged. He told his crowds around the country that vote-by-mail would be fraudulent and he thereby encouraged his followers not to use the mail to vote. Citizens of the U.S. knew they could vote by mail.
