January 6, 2020 was a date that will live in infamy. The insurrection at the center of the nation’s democratic government was carried out by right-wing hate groups, but was set in motion by the President of the United States. The motion did not begin on January 6. It began years ago. However, when Trump and his accomplishers gave marching orders to the thousands, they rushed to the Capitol and attacked.
