Donald Trump, a delusional old man, will stand on the same stage as Vice-President Kamala Harris on September 10 in a debate on ABC moderated by David Muir and Linsey Davis. It won’t be a debate. A debate is to engage in an argument or discussion of opposing viewpoints. Donald Trump does not debate. He is a bully whose goal is dominate, shout, and lie his way through any public appearance.

One person on the stage knows how to debate, but the chances of such an event happening are nil. Trump is not only a convicted felon but has been found guilty in several other recent cases in New York. His sentence in the felony case won’t be read until November after the election. He also was found liable in two trials and charged with sexual assault. And he will pay $500 million for business fraud.

ABC Debate Participants

Kamala Harris is the Democratic Party presidential nominee for the first time. Trump is the Republican Party presidential nominee for the third time.

David Muir and Linsey Davis moderated a Democratic primary debate in September 2019. According to the New York Times, Muir and Davis will be under the microscope as journalists. I will be observing them. In the debate between Trump and President Joe Biden, held a couple of months ago on CNN, moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, according to the Daily Beast, and other outlets their performance was abysmal. As I watched the debate, they asked questions and did not interact with Biden or Trump. When Trump spewed lies, they listened and then went on to another question. Many observers felt they should have “fact-checked,” at least to some degree. Later it was revealed that CNN told Tapper and Bash to be only questioners, not moderators. I believe that was unfortunate, especially with the FACT that Trump is a liar, and this has been documented in many reports and research studies.

Media’s Malignant Affair with Trump

The media in the United States has had a long, malignant affair with Donald Trump. In this statement, I include all the major networks and newspapers nationwide. In the debate you will watch on Tuesday, Trump will be equalized with Vice-President Kamala Harris. That is, the media uses the concept of “both-siderism.”

It’s a media gimmick to put on a show or write an article comparing candidates or issues as if both sides are equal and have merit. Trump tried to stay in office in 2021 by spouting false claims that there was widespread fraud preventing him from winning the election. There was a tiny amount of fraud, and the director in charge of election integrity said the election was the safest in American history. He caused hundreds of Americans to storm the capitol to prevent the Congress from doing its work to approve the electoral count. He should be in jail for this. But, there he is, the authoritarian posing as a legitimate politician.

In my opinion, the debate should never happen. The media is allowing a convicted felon to stand alongside a woman who has had a respected career as a prosecutor, district attorney of San Francisco, Attorney General of California, and Vice-President of the United States.

Check respected newspapers and media outlets. Trump has made false claims about her. You will find that Trump has made crude sexual remarks about Harris, lied about her beliefs and statements about policy issues such as social security, abortions, retirement, outlawing red meat, headed up the legal cases against her because she’s a prosecutor, labeled her the border Czar and said she never went to the border. He lies about the number of migrants who “stampede into the country” and blames it on Harris. While you watch the show, look for these and other false claims he makes about Kamala Harris.

Will Muir or Davis ask Trump what he means when he says there will be bloodshed if he loses the election? Will they ask who he is planning to take out revenge on? Your name is included more than 25 times in Project 25. What do you know about Project 25? Why should Americans trust you? You tried to steal the last election and you were indicted twice for that. Why should women and fathers trust you when you’ve been tried and found liable for more than $85 million for rape and sexual assault? Are you to be trusted with highly classified documents? And many more.

Mute or Not Mute

The Harris team did not want the microphones muted. Trump’s underlings desperately did not want an unmuted performance. I don’t think it will matter. Trump will try and overpower Kamala Harris with his bluster, threats, and lies. But Harris is an experienced, smart prosecutor. Keep in mind she’ll be standing next a convicted felon. As she said, I know his type.”
