So, Donald Trump plans a campaign rally Monday in Whitfield County ahead of the Georgia Senate runoff.
Not only has it “been hard-hit by COVID,” Whitfield County is now one of only two counties having more than one thousand COVID-19 cases per ten thousand persons.
Chattahoochee County, in Southwest Georgia bordering Alabama, is the other county.
The President’s planned trip to Whitfield County, in North Georgia, near Chattanooga, Tennessee, represents his treating the county and its people as a COVID-19 situation that is nothing special when it is actually a most special, even critical situation.
Trump’s trip will stand as a clear example of making Mistake number 1, perhaps intentionally for the sake of political expediency, and any lives lost be damned and of no importance.
