At times I can communicate with a young person from the future. Her name is Skyler Fusaro. She lives in Atlanta, in a high rise apartment on Peachtree Street. It is a mile north of the Realto Theater, on the campus of Georgia State University. Skyler says that she is living in the year 2065. Atlanta is very crowded, but has a very advanced transportation system enabling people to live without cars or trucks.

The Letter
In the year 2025, America was fractured. This was amidst the return of Donald Trump. It was also due to the rise of techno-autocratic rule, and social upheaval. About a month after Trump took office, Skyler transmitted a letter to me by Techno-teleport. She was furious that Americans reelected Trump. He was convicted on 34 felony charges linked to trying to interfere with the 2016 election. He was also found liable for sexual assault and rape of E. Jean Carroll. He had to pay her about $90 million. Furthermore, a judge found Trump, his foundation, and family guilty of fraud. Trump was fined $500 million. Skyler said that laws had been passed to prevent anyone like Trump from being allowed to run for public office. She reminded me that we had many opportunities. We could have avoided letting a criminal like Donald Trump be in the Oval Office.
The letter she wrote is quite powerful. She pointed out to me that millions of Americans are up in arms. They are enraged that the president is tearing apart departments and agencies. These departments and agencies exist to serve the American people. Although Trump and Musk claim there is whole scale fraud they have failed turn up any evidence. Seems as if they have other goals in mind.
Trump said he didn’t know about the Heritage Foundation’s Project 25, yet he is tracking its game plan. The mass layoffs were a shock to her, and she said that the American people won’t stand for it.
Skyler said she came in contact with a passionate journalist, who recently graduated from the Columbia University School of Journalism. Skyler introduced herself to the young journalist. The journalist calls herself Abilene Macias or “Abi.” She introduced herself in much the same way that I met her. She used advanced digital time-travel technology to communicate with her.
Abi told Skyler that she was investigating what was happening in America during first few weeks of Trump 2.0. What follows is Skyler’s story of Abi’s investigative journalism.
**Introduction:**
Abi began by recounting the recent wave of firings within Federal Departments. Thousands of dedicated public servants were abruptly stripped of their livelihoods. These actions were ordered by Elon Musk. Abi’s tone was one of disbelief. She was angry, questioning how one man wields such influence over American life and the U.S. government. Abi explained how Musk’s actions had sparked chaos, leaving empty offices where once vibrant discussions about democracy flourished. She sought to understand who was truly in control: Donald Trump or Elon Musk?

**Rising Action:**
Abi delved deeper into her analysis. She explored the ongoing investigations of Musk across ten Federal departments. She found the document on the House Committee on the Judiciary, which was put up by Ranking Member Jamie Raskin. Various lawsuits also threatened his empire. “Is this his way of dismantling institutions that have protected us for decades?” she pondered aloud in her letter to Skyler. Every day brought new headlines.
Musk was firing department heads who dared oppose him. He showed a relentless ambition to reshape governance according to Silicon Valley ideals. Meanwhile, Trump’s re-emergence as a political figure blurred lines further. Whispers circulated about his ties to Russia. His recent embrace of Vladimir Putin, and alarming attack on President Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy shook the leaders of Europe. He lied to the American people. He claimed he knew nothing of the Heritage Foundation’s Project 25. This was an ambitious blueprint aimed at shrinking government power. Trump is pursuing it “to a T.” Yesterday, Trump abruptly fired Air Force Gen. Charles Q. Brown. Brown was the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Trump sidelined a history-making fighter pilot and respected officer. This was part of a campaign to rid the military of leaders who support diversity and equity in the ranks.
Abi raised questions that echoed through time: Could this be Silicon Valley’s grand scheme to impose technocratic rule? Was Trump merely a pawn (of Russia and Project 25’s authors) in this dangerous game? As public protests erupted in cities nationwide against Musk’s growing influence, Abi felt an urgent need for action. She envisioned an exposé that would rally Americans. She wanted them to understand the stakes.

**Climax:**
Her breaking point came during a televised speech. Trump seemed to endorse Musk’s agenda. He subtly dismissed concerns over democracy. In that moment, Abi realized she was witnessing not just political maneuvering. It was an existential threat. It was about control over freedom itself. With resolve coursing through her veins, she decided it was time for the truth to surface.
**Falling Action:**
She interviewed former government officials. She also spoke with whistleblowers within tech companies working closely with Musk and Trump’s inner circle. Armed with this information, she crafted an article titled “The Technocrats’ Coup: Who Will Rule America?” As it went viral overnight, thoughts swirled among citizens; they began questioning authority figures they once admired blindly.
Abi faced backlash from powerful elites but found allies among grassroots movements that rallied behind her cause. The lines were drawn—Americans began waking up to forces threatening their democratic values.
**Resolution:**
In her final passage addressed to Skyler, Abi reflected on the power of journalism as a catalyst for change. It is a tool capable of holding those in power accountable, regardless of their wealth or influence. She concluded with hope: “We can reclaim our democracy before it is too late.” In those words lay both warning and inspiration—a call for vigilance against those who sought division amid unity’s promise.
As I read her impassioned plea through time, I felt compelled to echo her sentiments. It wasn’t just about Musk or Trump anymore. It was about all citizens standing together against tyranny disguised as progress. This was important in an age where voices easily be silenced amidst technological advancement.
Finally Abi provided a short list of journalist and activist writers who are witnessing the U.S. government as it is thrown into chaos by Trump and Musk.
