From Brexit to Trexit

Brexit

Brexit is the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. Following a June 2016 referendum, in which 51.9% voted to leave, the UK government formally announced the country’s withdrawal in March 2017, starting a two-year process that was due to conclude with the UK withdrawing on 29 March 2019.

On December 12th, the UK will vote resulting in the continuation of Boris Johnson as PM, or the selection of a new new party–a new PM.

The fate of Brexit hangs in the balance.

Trexit

Trxexit is the potential removal of the President of the United States from the office of the presidency. Mr. Trump will be impeached by the House of Representatives by the end of 2019.

His trial will take place in the Senate early in 2020. If he is convicted of high crimes and misdemeanors, he will be removed from office fulfilling Trexit. If he is not convicted (which will render 51 Republican senators guilty of not carrying out their constitutional duty) he will stay in office.

In this case, it will be up to the American electorate to decide.

Our democracy hangs in the balance.

Based on the evidentiary record, what has happened in the case before you is something that I do not think we have ever seen before: a president who has doubled down on violating his oath to “faithfully execute” the laws and to “protect and defend the Constitution.”

The evidence reveals a President who used the powers of his office to demand that a foreign government participate in undermining a competing candidate for the presidency

Professor Pamela S. Karlan

Dr. Karlan is professor of Law at Stanford University. She made this startling comment as part of her testimony before the House Judiciary Committee.  The Judiciary Committee has the job of writing the articles of impeachment.

Dr Karlan was accused by the ranking member, Rep. Douglas Collins of Georgia, of not reading the Intelligence Committee’s testimonies. She made it very very clear.  Reading reports is what she does for a living. She told the congressman of Georgia to go home with his tail between his legs.

It’s Time for Trexit, Trump must be removed from office

I’m on my way home from England.  We’ve been here for two weeks. We were here when Trump attended NATOs 70th Anniverary.  Trump was not received well.  He’s a joke to the leaders of most NATO countries. Although they never know what will come out of his mouth, they don’t care. They will go it without us.

Now it’s our turn to go it without Trump.

It’s time for TREXIT
