The unprecedented attack on the nation’s Capitol building, encouraged by Trump and other actors who appeared on the rally stage on January 6, may result in sedition charges against the former president and his sycophants.

Update: The GOP cancelled the meeting because Trump cancelled his!!
A group of Republicans will meet at the Cobb GOP headquarters at 799 Roswell St NE, Marietta, GA 30060, which is about 6 miles from my home. I won’t be there. But if you are so inclined, you can witness a bunch of people who think that the insurrectionists were patriots. They weren’t. They participated in political violence, and were out to kill elected representatives of the U.S. government, especially Vice President Mike Pence, and Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. And for your information, the program will begin at 5 P.M. but be there at 4:30 to register and have some Trump vodka.

COVID-19 is not behind us. Omicron is a reminder that COVID-19 is not only spreading faster than Delta, but that this virus is another mutation as it continues to infect populations around the world. More than 300,000 people a day in the US are getting infected. In fact, the Omicron variant has overtaken Delta in the number of infections each day in most of the world.

But I was honored, and I want to encourage you to examine this book, whether you are a science educator, a scientist or a citizen interested in public education.
